People have been calling me [ahy-on] and [ahy-uh n] (without the brackets) lately. I like both. The original pronunciation of my name sounds close to ‘eon’ with an accent on the second syllable.

My birth was delayed by at least two hundred years. It was a shock to be born at the bloom of technology. I have graduated with a Technology degree, but the more I am around it, the more I want to be away from it. Born in a village (my grandfather was a winemaker and a beekeeper), I have always been a child of the country (which is probably why I am still around DeKalb). I like woods, lakes, fields, valleys, winds, and a fall blue sky. I get to experience it all on my motorcycle these days.

I have many hobbies and interests. I am currently interested in traveling, skydiving, riding my bike, a combination of the three and whatever else unusual comes along. A more recent interest has been World War II history. It is related to yet another hobby of mine - researching and building historically accurate ship and airplane models.

I have had a short childhood, so I try to continue being a child and relive some of those moments as an adult whenever I can. That is why I only learn and do what I enjoy. So far it has worked for me... well, almost. Some friends have questioned my interests, but they have gotten used to them.

That is about it for now. More later.
