INTERNATIONAL HOUSE

Each year over 6,000 NIU students live in the residence halls on our DeKalb campus. More than half of these students are new to NIU. Each residence hall presents a unique opportunity for students to live and participate in exciting programs designed especially for them. International House is located in Douglas Hall just ten minutes away by foot from the central campus. It is a part of Student Housing and Dining Services and features two academic residential programs (The Foreign Language Residence Program, The Political Science Floor) and three general interest floors. Northern Illinois University is proud to make this housing option available to its students, and it is our hope that you will reach out to embrace other cultures and be embraced by them.
