What I like most about DeKalb and Northern Illinois University is that I have the feeling of living a typically American experience in an intimate setting that is only a stone's throw away from Chicago.

I was looking for a university close to my sister who lives in Chicago. When I came to Northern Illinois University originally over the summer to look at programs, I met the director of the Director of Public Health Program and was impressed with its quality and structure. It has been an excellent experience. I would suggest that students from warmer clients consider coming in the summer. Spring and Winter semesters are very cold.

I had heard about Northern Illinois University's excellent math professors from friends at NIU. Since I have been here, I have learned a great deal. Being in a small town not far from a major metropolitan city provides an ideal atmosphere in which to study.
